The Giorgio Cini Foundation is offering 9 two-month residential scholarships to cover the costs of living at the “Vittore Branca” International Center for the Study of Italian Civilization on the Island of San Giorgio Maggiore in Venice.<\/p>\n
The call is open to Italian and international doctoral students, PhDs, and postdocs<\/strong> who are under 40 years of age by June 30, 2026.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n Applicants must submit a research project (approximately 1,500 words) focused on Italian civilization, particularly the Veneto region, preferably focusing on documents held at the Giorgio Cini Foundation.<\/p>\n The eligible subject areas are: art history, history of Venice, literature, musicology, ethnomusicology, drama, early printed books, comparative cultures and spiritualities, digital humanities<\/p>\n <\/p>\n Applications must be submitted in PDF format<\/strong> to the Center Secretariat at the following email address: centrobranca@cini.it<\/strong><\/p>\n The selection process includes a videoconference interview (in Italian or English).
