IntAct Festival 2025 returns with a week of immersive artistic exploration, featuring innovative performances and interdisciplinary encounters at the Bangkok Art and Culture Centre (BACC). As a leading platform for contemporary creation, this year’s festival explores the theme “(Re)animated”—an invitation to reflect on how historical materials, artistic traditions, and sonic identities can be revived, reshaped, and transformed through today’s artistic practices.
Uniting composers, performers, and artists from across generations and cultures, IntAct Festival 2025 creates a vibrant space where past legacies meet future possibilities. Among the international highlights, we are delighted to welcome Duo Dubois (Alberto Cavallaro & Federico Tramontana) as guest artists, supported by the Italian Cultural Institute of Bangkok. Their performance on 20 December 2025 will feature works by Italian composers alongside new commissions by leading Thai composers—an exchange that embodies the festival’s mission to bridge cultures through contemporary music.
This project is conceived as a meaningful convergence of local musical identity and global artistic expression. During the festival, Duo Dubois will collaborate closely with Thai composers and international guest artists, contributing to a dynamic environment of creative dialogue and shared inspiration.
Join us at IntAct Festival 2025 as we explore how art, sound, and identity continue to be reimagined and reanimated in the contemporary world.
Duo Dubois
Duo Dubois was born in 2011 from the encounter of Federico Tramontana (percussions) and Alberto Cavallaro (saxophone). From the very beginning, the duo’s work has focused on the field of contemporary music, with projects that explore sound as the primary means of artistic communication.
They have performed at festivals such as Unerhörte Musik (Berlin), SoundPlasma (Tallinn), Darmstadt Ferienkurse (Darmstadt), DME (Lisbon), Lund Biennale (Lund), SMOG (Brussels), De Bijloke (Ghent), and Sound Spaces (Malmö), as well as at the Italian Cultural Institutes in Brussels and Melbourne, the MACRO – Museum of Contemporary Art in Rome, Spaziomusica (Cagliari), the International Music Festival of Savona, Dialoghi sul Comporre (Reggio Emilia), among others.
They have also held lectures and workshops at the Conservatories of Venice, Adria, and Fermo.
