The Milo Award: Bangkok Edition 2026 | Animals in literature and the loss of our loved ones: A lecture by Costanza Rizzacasa d’Orsogna

To mark the 26th Week of the Italian Language in the World, journalist and author Costanza Rizzacasa d’Orsogna will deliver a lecture titled “Animals in literature and the loss of our loved ones” at the BRK Digital Humanities Center, Chulalongkorn University (16:00–17:30). Part of the The Milo Award (Bangkok Edition 2026) program, the talk will explore how literature uses animal figures to process grief, empathy, and the memory of departed loved ones, demonstrating the Italian language’s capacity to give shape to complex emotions and transform pain into storytelling.
