The workshop will explore the expanded role of curating today, challenging the notion of institutions as neutral spaces for simply displaying artworks. Instead, it will consider them as contested sites that can provoke ongoing processes of critical reflection and self-questioning.
Can both exhibitions and institutions be reimagined as spaces of inquiry, where conflicting ideas, forms, and experiences coexist—while keeping artists at the center of each endeavor? Might the condition of in-betweenness across disciplines serve as a generative framework for alternative ways of thinking on exhibition and art making?
