Water Heritage and Climate Change

A week of international lectures, workshops, and field trips exploring the connections between cultural heritage, water landscapes, and climate change — comparing experiences from Asia and Europe.
Here’s the program:
  • Lectures on heritage studies, water symbolism, and climate impact on built heritage;
  • Case studies from Venice, Siena, Ayutthaya, Cambodia, and Thai floating markets;
  • Excursions to the Mae Klong River estuary, Amphawa Floating Market, Phra Pathom Chedi, and more.
Organized by the Faculty of Architecture, Silpakorn University, the Università Politecnica delle Marche, and the Italian Cultural Institute in Bangkok.
