The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation (MAECI) offers scholarships in favour of foreign students and Italian citizens living abroad (IRE) for the 2026-2027 academic year, in order to foster international cooperation in cultural, scientific and technological fields, to promote the Italian language and culture and to support Italy’s economic system in the world (According to the Italian law 288/55 and its subsequent changes and additions).
Scholarships are available for attending academic courses on the Italian territory only.
The scholarships are worth €1,200 per month and are offered for the following study, training, and/or research programs at legally recognized Italian public or private institutions:
– Master’s degree programs (2nd cycle);
– Advanced artistic, musical, and dance training programs (AFAM) (1st and 2nd cycles);
– Doctoral programs;
– Research projects;
– Intensive courses in Italian language and culture (“Italofonia” scholarships).
