Bangkok Design Week 2026 hosts a day of engaging educational talks as part of the Art Talk: CSR from Craft to Sustainable with Responsibility, organized by Silpakorn University Faculty of Decorative Arts, DinDA, MinDA, and sponsored by Buddy Group and A.S.A.P.
Among the distinguished professors speaking at the talk session is Stefano Bertocci, Associate Professor at the Faculty of Architecture at the University of Florence. Professor Stefano Bertocci’s commitment to disseminating Italian expertise abroad is exemplified by the numerous scientific and cultural cooperation agreements for which he is responsible, which the University of Florence has signed with foreign universities since 2007. Of particular note are the agreements currently in force with the Department of Architecture at the University of Florence and the Department of Architecture and Urban Planning at the Faculty of Construction at the University of Oriente (Cuba); topics: Survey and Representation of Architecture; Department of Architecture, University of Florence and Odessa State Academy of Civil Engineering and Architecture (Ukraine), topics: Architectural Survey and Representation; Department of Architecture, University of Florence and Petrozavodsk State University (Rep. of Karelia, Russia), topics: Documentation and Restoration of Wooden Architecture; Department of Architecture, University of Florence and Shenkar College, School of Engineering and Design (Israel).
Professor Stefano Bertocci’s talk focuses on the historical and traditional commerce of the city of Florence, exploring and illustrating the city’s historical, traditional, and local commercial activities, focusing on the issues related to the documentation and preservation of historical activities in various urban contexts. The city of Florence’s historic importance and excellence in the arts, commerce, and architecture is further demonstrated at Bangkok Design Week 2026 by the exhibition “FROM LEGACY TO THE FUTURE. RESTORATION AS A DESIGN PROJECT” by the Accademia delle Arti del Disegno in Florence and the Opificio delle Pietre Dure in Florence.
The city once again confirms its position as an undisputed and internationally recognized cultural hub.
