In this year’s edition, the Embassy of Italy in Thailand, in collaboration with the Italian Cultural Institute, is proud to present a cinematic masterpiece from Italy. Synopsis: Set in mid-1940s Rome, amidst a society struggling to recover in the aftermath of World War II, “Delia” navigates her life defined by her roles as a wife and a mother of three. She lives under the oppressive rule of “Ivano,” her short-tempered and domineering husband, while also bearing the burden of caring for her father-in-law. Her small moments of joy come from chatting with her close friend, and her ultimate hope in life is to see her eldest daughter, “Marcella,” marry well and escape the cycle.
However, one day, a mysterious letter arrives for Delia. This unexpected letter sparks the courage within her to overturn all existing plans and begin wishing for a better future and a better life.
